Thank you for stopping by my little corner of blog-land. Pull up a comfy chair and I'll put on a pot of coffee...

My name is Laura. I LOVE food of all kinds. I am a self taught baker, cake decorator, and home cook. I own a bakery called Scratch, where we offer freshly baked cupcakes, specialty cakes, cookies, and more. We are nestled right in the middle of Lancaster County, Pa.(my hometown), and I adore living here.

I am a total sugar addict. I once broke into my sister's piggy bank {at the age of 3} and ran across a busy street right by our house to buy Skittles at the Dollar Store. The employees told on me. The addiction runs deep :-)

I love my family more than words can express.

I am a momma to two boys, Parker and Jacob. And ohhh, how I love them.
"Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. As arrows are in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. Happy, blessed, and fortunate is the man whose quiver is filled with them! They will not be put to shame when they speak with their adversaries in gatherings at the city’s gate."
Psalm 127: 3-5

This is the handsome man who gave me those two little boys {my husband, Jason}. We met in high school at the age of 16 and dated for 5 years before getting married in 2007. We have been married for just about 8 years. There is no one else in the world that I cherish more than him. I hope and pray we get to grow into old, little wrinkly people together.

I serve a God who loves me unconditionally, and I am so thankful for the sacrifice His son made for me on the cross. I am in daily need of His amazing grace. Without God, I would be a hopeless wreck. It is because of Jesus I am made whole. His forgiveness makes me worthy to stand in His presence, and I can't believe that my heart is a place He would choose to live. Thank you, Lord, for all you have done in my life. I pray that this place honors you the way you deserve.

This blog is a love letter to my family; a place to capture our life and freeze a bit of it in time. This is also a space for me to connect with you. Thank you for coming here, and I hope that you stop by often.
